Minor Missing from Panipat Recovered Safely in Ghaziabad; Accused Subhan Ali Detained, Probe Underway
A 17-year-old minor girl missing from Panipat’s Kishanpura area was safely recovered by police from Ghaziabad. Accused Subhan Ali has been detained, and an investigation under BNS Section 140(3) is ongoing, highlighting swift police action in a suspected abduction case.
According to the complaint filed by a resident of Kishanpura, the minor had gone to a local market to buy vegetables on the evening of Sunday, April 19, but did not return home, prompting the family to allege that Subhan Ali had lured their daughter under the pretext of marriage and abducted her. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case under Section 140(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and initiated an investigation.
Given the seriousness of the matter, teams from the Industrial Sector-29 Police Station and the Kishanpura Police Outpost launched an active search operation. During the course of the investigation, police received specific information indicating that the girl was in Ghaziabad, where both the girl and a young man had reportedly been restrained by local individuals. Acting swiftly on the input, a Panipat police team reached the location, secured the minor, and brought her back safely.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters Satish Kumar confirmed that both the Kishanpura Police Outpost and Sector-29 Police Station teams were actively engaged in the operation. He stated that the girl has been successfully recovered from Ghaziabad following credible information that a young man and a young woman had been apprehended there, after which the police intervened and brought them back.
The case highlights the urgency and precision of coordinated police action in tracing missing minors across state lines, while reinforcing the importance of swift response, credible intelligence, and inter-district intervention in sensitive abduction-related investigations.
